Apartment Tour
We're moving soon! I am so excited to move - This place has been nice, but the location is not great. I'm really excited to show you the new place we're moving into, it'll be so great. First though, I wanted to show you what our current place looks like!

Say hello to our pets!
We have two pets - I brought my kitty into the relationship and he brought Ardie. It definitely took some time for them to get used to each other. When you have a hostile cat and a dog that is dead scared of cats, it is not easy for them to become friends and get along. They are still working on it, but we don't keep the separated anymore and they kind of figure things out themselves as they go along. It is so much fun hanging out with them everyday and watch them around each other!
Oh, and don't mind the carpet, haha. This picture was taken before the daily vacuuming (which they both agree on is AWFUL)

My new bed
Finally I'm done moving. I moved from my shared room into a shared house a couple of blocks up the same street. I really love it. It's a sublet, so there is some work to be done, as to make it feel more like my own, but with a rearranging of all the furniture and new and, may I say, GORGEOUS bedding, it helps.
Right now I'm reading the book in the picture, which I got from the Seattle Public Libraries. So far it is absolutely beautiful and absolutely recommendable, but I'm only half way!

Apartment Therapy: Small cool contest
A while ago I posted photos of my apartment here after lots of requests, and received lots of sweet comments - Thank you!. When I saw that Apartment Therapy was hosting there annual "small cool"-contest, I decided to mail my photos and hope they'll decide to feature my apartment. And now they did! I'm really flattered and I hope that some of you are gonna *click* by and maybe "favorite" some of the best places - There are a lot of cool, small apartments and the one leading the international division is actually Danish too!

Flowers at home
I buy flowers every week.
It's kind of a new habit to me, but I discovered how much of a difference it made. It made my apartment feel much more "lived-in", and I loved having all the beautiful colors around.
I don't want to spend much on it. Generally my max is $10 pr. week, but I usually find something cheaper. I buy them at my local grocery store, because it's convenient, and I know I wouldn't get around to do it, if it wasn't. The quality is not that of a flower shop, and they don't last as long.
The bottom photo is what's in my apartment right now, and they are some of my favourites! I just love, love pink roses. The top photo are the best flowers I ever had here.
They are from my grandparent's garden, and they brought me them for my birthday this past Saturday. They goes perfectly with the painting my sister made for me.
Apart from cut flowers, I also have some garden herbs, like estragon, basil and parsley(Well, ok, my parsley is kind of dying). I also have an orchid, that was flowering so beautifully, but then my cat ate it. Tough life.
Having fresh flowers in your home, makes such a huge difference and such an impact on people feeling welcome and perceiving it as a nice space. Best habit I ever picked up!

My Apartment! (PIC HEAVY)
Welcome to my apartment, which I share with my black cat! I've lived here for nine months, and though there is lots of problems here(like rain coming through the roof and the old, black spraypaint on the windows), I'm really growing into fondness of this place. I like having lots of counterspace(There's like 20 times the amount of counterspace compared to my last place), I like the light(!!), I like my painted floors(but I wouldn't recommend it), I like how it feels so personal. I'll be uploading a video, but I hope you enjoyed this small phototour! Best regards!

At home // February
I'm painting these days. Making my home mine again. I live in a rather worn-out apartment, where the heat flies through the roof and the water pours in. I've got this old cupboard, I refinished years and years ago - Probably 10 years ago. It's beautiful, but it was dark grey inside and cherry red on the outside. I loved the cherry, but it needed a fresh coat of paint and I have no money, so I opted for samples I already had in store. I need to make things pink. Pink is about me. Pink is me choosing my own life, me doing what I want. Not compromising. I'm not gonna compromise no more. I want everything pink. This is a metaphor.
This blog is becoming very personal.
I have only a few pieces of furniture in my "living room"(=the part of the one big room, that should be assigned to a couch if I had one). This little wheel-y is from my mother's childhood home. It needs to be painted a couple of times a year. It demands attention. It holds favorite books, beautiful coffee table books. It also holds random fiction that I'll never read. Like Stephen King. I'm still betting on that Mother of Pearl.
Apart from this, I have one arm chair and the above mentioned cupboard. And a lamp.
I bought this skirt the other day. It's from H&Ms Conscious Collection, which is released this week. It's absolutely beautiful. I'm probably never gonna wear it, since I can't seem to figure out 1) What to pair it with 2) Where to go. It doesn't matter. I like it right there, being pink.
You are the love of my life. There's nothing else I need to say.
