Flowers at home

I buy flowers every week.
It's kind of a new habit to me, but I discovered how much of a difference it made. It made my apartment feel much more "lived-in", and I loved having all the beautiful colors around.
I don't want to spend much on it. Generally my max is $10 pr. week, but I usually find something cheaper. I buy them at my local grocery store, because it's convenient, and I know I wouldn't get around to do it, if it wasn't. The quality is not that of a flower shop, and they don't last as long.

The bottom photo is what's in my apartment right now, and they are some of my favourites! I just love, love pink roses. The top photo are the best flowers I ever had here.
They are from my grandparent's garden, and they brought me them for my birthday this past Saturday. They goes perfectly with the painting my sister made for me.

Apart from cut flowers, I also have some garden herbs, like estragon, basil and parsley(Well, ok, my parsley is kind of dying). I also have an orchid, that was flowering so beautifully, but then my cat ate it. Tough life.

Having fresh flowers in your home, makes such a huge difference and such an impact on people feeling welcome and perceiving it as a nice space. Best habit I ever picked up!

  1. Everything looks so beautiful! I keep trying to grow my own flowers, but all the squirrels and birds and snails around outside are eating up all of my plants. I have a few sunflowers left though!

  2. By the way, I really love the painting your sister made for you, and your grandparents flowers fit with it very beautifully. Does your sister sell her art at all? I would love something like that.

  3. I really like your Zen like aesthetic...very Spartan and plain...clean. Is that Danish or unique to you?
Anyway, beyond the reason why a male would find you interesting, I find you interesting.
