Closet-sale and organizing

These days I'm alone at home, sorting out the apartment. We have a lot of stuff that needs to get into place - And even way too much stuff for this tiny apartment. I've been throwing a lot of stuff out, am planning to donate some(have a few boxes and some clothing ready) and have considered to sell some things I don't need anymore from my closet and apartment. I don't know if there is an interest for that out there? And if, should it only be more valuable items?

It would be nice to get it into place soon. I'm reading a lot of organizing-blogs at the moment, but it really does stay with the thought ;) I fell across the saying "A place for everything and everything in it's place", and I feel that is a good thing to remember when organizing.

What is your best tip for organizing?

  1. My best tip is the same as when it comes to creating: kill your darlings. Oftentimes I hesitate before throwing things out because they have a sort of nostalgic value. However, I never use them so in reality they are completely useless. Therefore, better to just throw it out :P

    1. Sometimes I'm thinking about it! I've just decided to let them behave as they want and not do anything about it. However they are kind of "walking out". It takes some time to make them, but if you keep them for a long time, I think it is definitely worth it. Hope this helps!

  6. I'd definitely be interested in seeing what you have for sale, both valuable and less so! I think having a mix of values is good as people have different amounts of money to spend :)

    1. I'll think about it then :) It's always nice to make a good find, even though it is not necessarily something of great value, it is something you can treasure! Thank you! :)

  7. For organizing my closet, I would have to say that I tend to separate clothes according to occasion. So, all formal wear on one side and casual wear on the other side. Home clothing too is another category I like to put in a separate cabinet rather than with all my outdoor clothes.

I say share it all...you never know who wants what and a closet can never be cleared enough. Just think all the new stuff you can find to fill that space! Blessings, girl!
