Closet-sale and organizing

These days I'm alone at home, sorting out the apartment. We have a lot of stuff that needs to get into place - And even way too much stuff for this tiny apartment. I've been throwing a lot of stuff out, am planning to donate some(have a few boxes and some clothing ready) and have considered to sell some things I don't need anymore from my closet and apartment. I don't know if there is an interest for that out there? And if, should it only be more valuable items?

It would be nice to get it into place soon. I'm reading a lot of organizing-blogs at the moment, but it really does stay with the thought ;) I fell across the saying "A place for everything and everything in it's place", and I feel that is a good thing to remember when organizing.

What is your best tip for organizing?

White lace and flower-heels

If I had left the house the other day, this is what I would have worn. Lucky for me, it' summer, there is absolutely nothing I should be doing, and I can actually stay in. That's quite rare! ;)

I'm still working on the apartment, mostly just moving stuff in and finding room for it. My kitchen is not overly great for storing lots of things, and there are compromises to be made. However a few images and shelves have already made their way to the walls, during this past week. I'm so happy with my white floors, but they are quite hard to keep all clean with three little ones tumbling around. Looking forward to getting all settled and being able to getting it all nice and white.

I love this white lace skirt. Styling it is a bit hard, but I find it easier now it's summer - Just pairing it with a colourful top does the trick. The shoes are a comfortable everyday height and I adore the print. I figure a pair of nudes and a sparkle-y'er(that's a word, right?) top could make for a great festive look.

I think my legs are all right, even though they are really short :p However I have lots of scars on my legs from all sorts of things. Especially the big round ones on the right leg, become really visible when getting a tan. People comment on it from time to time, but I actually like it and don't mind it much anymore.

Do you have any special scars?

Motel-dress and work party

Since the beginning of June, I've been employed at a newly opened tapas bar in town. It was very random that I got the job - Thanks to my awesome mom! - and I'm really happy about it!

Last weekend, we had a party, where our sister-restaurant from another town visited. We wore really practical clothing, since we were doing a lot of activities like paintball, soccer and so on. We ate great food(hellooo, it's an amazing restaurant!) and had such a nice time. After paintball and that sorts, we changed into a bit nicer clothes. It was a warm night, and I didn't want to wear something too "nice", so I opted for a printed bodycon-dress by Motel. They does lots of great prints! Their sizing is a bit weird - This is a XS, but it is REALLY short and really tight. I definitely can't wear this without shorts/tights/skirt underneath.

I'm really into clothes with full prints at the moment! Maybe I should do a post, collecting a few of my favorites!

(almost) Danish Hotdogs

I love hotdogs. Who doesn't? It is such a simple and delicious food - I know it not LCHF or in any way healthy(except for the mind), but I think it is rather important to not worry about healthy all-the-time. Sometimes I nice hotdog will do you just fine. Denmark is renowned for our "Pølsevogne". Carts where hotdogs, sausages and sometimes other grill-foods are served over the counter. I read that we had 400 of those at one time - That's quite a lot when you only have 1400 cities(and a city at least containt 200 people)!

The Danish hotdog is normally condimented with ketchup, mustad and remoulade, along with raw onions, roasted onions and pickled dill cucumbers. I really like the taste of red onions, so I swap for those. I also am not a fan of pickled cucumbers, at all, but if you make them, you can swap for whatever you want. I bet they'll also be great with a vegan sausage, for you out there :)

What is your favorite way to eat a hot dog?

Kittens! (Photo and cuteness-heavy post)

Can we agree, there isn't anything better in.the.world. than kitttieeeess? My kitties were born on the 12th of June, thus turning 5 weeks this Wednesday! They still sleep a lot, but they are lots of fun. These photos are from last week. Sorry for spamming you with a bazillion photos ;)

Summersnaps and a heartfelt pledge

A bunch of summer snaps for you. At the moment, I'm really considering how I want the blog to be in the future. For a long time, I haven't felt very motivated to write, but I really want to keep my blog, and keep sharing stuff with my wonderful readers! I'm thinking I need more real content. I've been posting random photos for a long time, but I want to move and change the direction. I still really don't know how. What stuff would you like to see more of? I think I need to make a schedule or something, for myself, to keep myself going. I don't want blogging to become a chore, but I really need to pick up the pace and do right.

Lots of stuff have been happening in the past few months. My life is great, and I feel like it is becoming better. University and moving to this city is kind of the best thing that ever happened - it feels so right. Maybe that is why it is easier to "forget" blogging - Because so much else is happening. I guess the solution is, to include the blog more in my everyday life - And share more.

Once, loooong ago, I asked you to suggest some post-titles or subject for the blog. I didn't use many of them, because I was a really bad blogger, and I wanted to apologize to all of you, who made really great suggestions. Since it is so long ago, I wanted to ask you again, and hope that you'll help this blog rises from the ashes.

I've been inspired a lot by Kelly from Imperfect Homemaking. She seems to be such a sweet and caring soul, and she is REALLY organized, while having a busy life. She did a few list/printables for planning blogging, thus making it "a job" and a stable in her everyday - I hope I'll manage to do the same.

Dear readers, I'm so thankful, for you who are still out there, and want to read along. I hope that together we can make this work, and that I can deliver content that you will value. I really hope to hear your suggestions regarding the blog.

Last, but not least, I've needed a clean slate in regards to comments, emails and messages and so on. I've deleted a lot. I'm sorry if this offends any of you, but I really want to do right. Please feel free to write me, I'll do my best.

Thank you very much. And have a great summer!

Casting

I went to a casting a few months back. Not for modelling, but for kind of a beautycontest. I just thought it would be fun trying to get my makeup done by someone else and getting photographed. I didn't go very well. We should hear back medio July. I know you are not allowed to "whine" about the styling, but I really felt the makeup artist made me look "dead", with all red(?!) eyeshadow up to my brows. Just how it is! I didn't do very well, though I like the third picture. Well, thought you should see the pictures anyway - and maybe get a feeling of how much easier it is to photograph yourself, when you are in control of everything ;) Lot of the other girls where smiling their biggest party-smiles. Don't know if I should have done that aswell :p

IKEA wishlist

As all other Scandinavians I'm a big lover of IKEA. Of course! Who doesn't love IKEA? I know it can be a nightmare to get through the shop, and that their meatballs has horse in them, but differences aside!
I love going to IKEA - Which I rather frequently do, actually - and browsing their stuff on the website, imagining how I'd decorate if I had a billion moneeyyzzzz.

OK! Here goes!
FRIHETEN
My couch is old. Like really old. Like, I was washing it recently, and the pillows had 1978 printed on them. When I asked my grandma, she confirmed. It is rather old. It's blue, and pretty, apart from where my cat have been tearing it apart. She hates scratching trees. Only the finest couch will do for her nails! I feel rather sad about parting with it, but I can't seem to forget about this preeeeetty pink sofa. I've been wanting one for ages! Also it is a sleepingcouch, which would be great for guests! It's actually nicely priced for a couch(sleepingcouch) and if I can get myself to get rid of my old couch, I'll probably be buying this one!
STOCKHOLM
This is apparently called a sideboard. I never knew! In Denmark it is called a "skaenk". I think this is such a luxurious and beautiful piece of furniture. It's from their new lux-collection, and it would be perfect for keeping things like tablecloths, candles, birthdayflags and everything else small, as well as leaving keys-newspapers-notes-flowers-whatever on top on. It's rather expensive for this type of furniture in IKEA-manners(£350), but I think it is worth considering to save for!

BILLY
I need a real bookcase. My shelves are over-flooding-on-the-brink-of-falling-down and having a real, simple white bookcase would be a life-saver. This is completely boring, but I often feel really disturbed by the different sizes and backs, so there is no need for making it even more complicated. I should consider a door to go with this, since they are kind of good deals!

STRANDMON
I've loved this for quite some time. It's amazing to sit in, and it looks so chic. I think it would be absolutely perfect for a nice reading corner and I really hope to see it in my living room some time! It's a little expensive for a chair, but it's rather special  I think!

IKEA PS 2012
I love this to pieces, and I know people think it is ridiculously ugly. It is actually, but I can't help it! No words needed! I probably won't be buying this though. I keep convincing myself it is just a phase.

Ok I know there is lots and lots of more stuff I like from IKEA
